- The purpose of Prosperous Promises is to strengthen families by equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and values needed to thrive financially, relationally, and spiritually. We exist to break cycles of financial hardship, promote generational wealth, and empower couples and families to live with intentionality, unity, and legacy in mind.
Founders’ story
Hello, my name is Donta’ Carter. I was born and raised right here in Atlanta, GA. I attended the University of Georgia where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Consumer Economics. That education gave me the tools to understand money, people, and the systems that impact both.
Today, I’m married to the love of my life, Abriana Carter, and together we’re raising four of the most gifted, talented, athletic, and God-fearing young people you’ll ever meet. Being their father is one of my greatest honors.
As an adult, I’ve worked across the fields of real estate, taxes, insurance, and most recently, franchisee of several Subway restaurants. Each of those roles has been a blessing—helping me provide for my family and experience the joy of entrepreneurship.
But even with all of that, I knew God was calling me to more. Not just more success, but more purpose. A way to pour into others, especially couples whether they’re just getting engaged, standing at the altar, celebrating their tenth anniversary, or seasoned in their love with decades of memories behind them—I’ve always felt a strong pull toward couples. There’s something powerful about two people choosing each other, choosing legacy, choosing to build.
But as I watched so many couples start their journey full of excitement, I also saw how often they were missing the tools to navigate the financial side of that journey. The love was there, the commitment was real—but the roadmap for prosperity? That was often unclear.
That’s when God began to stir something in my spirit.
In prayer, in quiet moments, and through everyday conversations, He gave me a vision—clear as day. It wasn’t just a business idea. It was a calling. A place where couples could come together, not just to celebrate their wedding day, but to lay down the roots for a prosperous life. A place where faith meets financial wisdom, and love meets legacy.
